JK Rowling under fire from US Bible belt after outing Dumbledore as gay. I realise that homophobe does not equal Christian fundamentalist, sadly, but is there really much danger of a backlash of parents who have thus far allowed their children to continue reading these books because one of the characters is gay? I suppose there may be if parents believe the inaccurate reports in the media rather than reading the books and seeing that Dumbledore is more closeted than Larry Craig.
