Government plans to introduce ID cards are "inconsistent" and "lacking clarity", the Commons science and technology committee has said. Hello! Welcome to the debate! Where have you been for the last five years? Ever since Mad David Blunkett dreamt up this scheme while 'perpetuating the class struggle' with a posh American the three phrases that have defined this policy have been 'inconsistent' ("It's to stop terrorists! No it isn't! Yes it is! Plus identity fraud, although it won't stop identity fraud"), 'lacking clarity' and 'a batshittingly insane way to waste taxpayers money'.
