It's extremely long, but there's a report from the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada to the Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration about why they believe that ID cards should be resisted for that country. In light of our almost certain march toward totalitarianism it's worth reading just to know there are some government officials out there who know that ID cards won't help in The War Against Terror, it's just a shame they aren't OUR government officials.
