Tony Blair and Jack Straw have been telling the British troops that they're in Iraq for the long haul and to not expect to leave much before 2006, meanwhile the US army is introducing a series of measures to prevent soldiers serving in Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan from leaving the service. The army say they want to keep experienced soldiers in place, I can't help but wonder if morale really is "really high" if the Army needs to make changes to try and keep troops in place. Or is the American war machine overstretched?
