Do you remember how in November Benjamin Zephaniah wrote in the Guardian about how he was turning down an OBE from Mrs Queen? (He was soon followed by Yasmin Alibhai-Brown in a gesture that seemed rather Claire Short-ish in it's bandwagon jumping.) Well, now that the New Years Honours are actually being presented, The Mirror has decided to reprint his article as though it was something new he whipped up for them. Better late than never, though I expect if it hadn't been such a slow news week it would never have made it in to the paper at all.
