ANY Army investigating the possible misdeeds of it's own personel is generally a bad idea, the temptation to brush it all under the carpet is endemic, especially as to admit error would be a blow to morale in time of conflict. Despite that, it's faintly encouraging to hear that the Israeli Army has arrested the soldier who shot peaceful protester Tom Hurndall in the head. Details are sketchy, the soldier has admitted lying about Mr. Hurndall being armed but who knows whether this will go any further.
